AC Shadows Reveals Surprising Attack on Titan Collaboration for Thanksgiving

In a bizarre crossover event that defies conventional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Questline Disclosed

According to the formal announcement, "A mysterious confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The storyline features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine cult.

The questline concentrates on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Changes

The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful moment showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Additional Content

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an unique katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:

• Mikasa costume for Naoe
• Unique weapons
• Survey Corps mount

Third Free Story Addition

This patch also adds the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "The Mystery." This lighthearted mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive techniques: Naoe reveals a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires non-fatal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Enigma" also includes a new environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
